Multiple Forms – dropdown menu

Hello, love your plugin.

So I have a client who is an event planner – she needs her web visitors to register for an event on her site. The problem I have is that each event offers different options (for example if registering for a Craft show, the user can select between three tables sizes.. but when registering for an Expo they can only register for event space).

I would like to have a field value that is “Event Name” with a drop-down menu, and for each event, a different form presents.

Is this possible? Thank you.

Hi,

I’m currently using the free version of the plugin. I would like to know if there is a way for entries to be automatically deleted once emails have been forwarded?

Hi,
I have VFB Pro CLASSIC Version 2.5.1 in one of my sites. I have a few problems with it.
I would like to update it to a newer version of vfb pro or even revert back to the free version.
When I try to update, it erases all my entries. Luckily I keep good backups and I have been able to restore it as was. It seems I can not update without losing everything. Forms and entries. Please help.

A client is receiving a 404 error when submitting a form. I’ve tested it twice and there doesn’t seem to be any issues. What could be the causes of the error?

Hi,
On mobile phone and other devices, my form only works on the homepage but anywhere else on the site the fields dont respond to touch and at times one or two fields only can work.

The homepage has no issues at all and the forms all work on desktop computer. It’s puzzlling.

I have custom css on my site:

.visual-form-builder ul {
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0
}

.visual-form-builder ul li {
    list-style: none
}

.visual-form-builder .vfb-fieldset {
    margin: 0;
    border: none;
    padding: 0;
    background: 0 0
}

.visual-form-builder .vfb-item+.vfb-item {
    margin-top: 10px
}

.visual-form-builder .vfb-item-checkbox>label {
    margin-bottom: 5px
}

.visual-form-builder .vfb-item-checkbox .vfb-span {
    width: 49%;
    display: inline-block;
    margin-bottom: 5px
}

.visual-form-builder .vfb-item-checkbox .vfb-checkbox {
    width: 15px;
    display: inline-block;
    margin-right: 5px;
    vertical-align: top
}

.visual-form-builder .vfb-item-checkbox label {
    display: inline-block;
    vertical-align: middle
}

.visual-form-builder .vfb-legend {
    display: none;
    position: absolute
}

.visual-form-builder label {
    font-weight: 600;
    font-size: 11px;
    font-size: .8rem
}

.visual-form-builder textarea {
    min-height: 120px
}

.visual-form-builder .vfb-error {
    color: orange;
    font-weight: 300
}

hello,

we are having issues with multiple forms not working with the file upload option. It is giving us this specific 403 error:

“403 Forbidden

A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site.”

we are fully up to date with all plugin and theme and wordpress updates. When we are logged into our back end the form works just fine and sends but when anyone else / we are logged out trys to submit a form with a file upload it gives us the above 403 error. Would there be a specific reason for this? We are not utilizing the pro version FYI

Visual Form Builder: How to add css?

Hi,

I’d like to make changes to the form layout in my child theme css. No matter what css I add or what classes I use, nothing happens.

I see that the same question have been posed several times in the support forum but have been closed without getting any replies. So no help from there, I’m afraid.

On the plugin faq page, I’m asked to follow the instructions on:

http://matthewmuro.com/2012/11/15/visual-form-builder-pro-customizing-the-form-design/

but the link is dead. Would it be possible to update the link address to the right one, so I, among others, can benefit from some further guidance.

The plugin is: https://wordpress.org/plugins/visual-form-builder/

I have the free version and wonder if that’s why it’s not working?

Would very much appreciate your assistance.

Best regards,
Cebetyr

No Email notification when a form is filled out

I have Visual Form Pro on two websites I have built, however I have one site where I am running the free version. The form submits correctly however after that two things don’t happen.

1) The website owner doesn’t get an email notification that a form has been submitted.
2) the user doesn’t get an email saying thank you for submitting the form.

I have it all configured the same as the two Pro versions but can not get it working.

The site is websitesbyconley.com and the email I need the notification to go to is websitesbyconley@gmail.com

Thanks

Secret validation not working

First of all, I love this form builder! I’ve tried a few and so far this one is great. But I am must learning it…

I have a form in the works here:
http://www.thenextsupergeek.com/challenge-new/

For the “Secret” under verification, I named it “What is 5 + 7” and made it a required field. In “Validation” I tried entering 12 but that doesn’t work. The validation field is always greyed out.

The Help at the top of the page says:
“Visual Form Builder uses the jQuery Form Validation plugin to perform clientside form validation.”
But the link is bad. Am I supposed to install this second plugin?? Where do I get it?

Also in the Help, under Tips, it says:
“Security verification is automatically included on very form. It’s a simple logic question and should keep out most, if not all, spam bots.”
I don’t see this security question in my form. Do you? How are we supposed to configure it? If it is related to “Secret” what do we do with it??

Where is the long-form documentation?

Forms display with temp URL, not our “real” site URL

Hello,

Excuse the pedestrian, non-techie way I’m going to explain my issue … I’m not technical and built this website just by feeling my way around in the dark and now find myself with a problem I have no idea how to solve.

I built the new website using a temporary URL from BlueHost. There are a handful of forms (fillable online) that I created using Visual Form Builder. When the site was ready, I redirected our “real” URL to the work that had been done (or maybe it’s vice versa…) and the site was available instantly for use by customers.

There is a new client intake form that a customer has raised issue with. Instead of it being secured/locked on our site, accessing it goes takes users back to the temp URL which is not secure. They’re refusing to use the form because it exposes personal data to open air where it can be misappropriated.

How do I specify the URL to force the forms to associate with our permanent, real URL instead of staying where they are now with the temporary one? I’m not sure if it’s a WordPress plug-in issue or a host issue or something else entirely so any help to understand will be useful to me.

Thanks in advance for any advice/counsel you can offer a newbie.

VFB Pro CLASSIC: Change default field size?

Replies: 1

Hi, I’m wanting to change the default field size from Medium –> Small.

I’ve found line 983 in ‘wp-content\plugins\visual-form-builder-pro\visual-form-builder-pro.php’

Line 983: field_size VARCHAR(25) DEFAULT 'medium',

With my limited knowledge, this looks like it’s creating a table and setting the default field_size to “medium”.

I’ve tried changing this field from “medium” –> “small” but it’s had no effect.

Any one got any ideas?
